Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn’t my top load Maytag washing machine not spinning?

A common cause is due to an uneven load or jammed clothing. If those are fine, the next thing to inspect is the lid switch. The switch prevents the washer from spinning while the lid is open. Finally, check the drive belt and see if it is broken, damaged or loose.

My Maytag dryer is not heating?

Check the incoming power with the proper voltage. The dryer needs 240 volts at the receptacle. Another common thing to inspect is the exhaust vent and to see how much airflow is available. More common issues include a faulty thermal fuse, defective heating element, faulty high limit thermostat or faulty thermostat. If your dryer is gas check the igniter or the solenoid coils.

What is the service window for an appointment?

When you call to make an appointment, we will provide you with a 3-hour window. If you need a 30-minute notice, let us know when booking the appointment and our repairman will call you in advance of their arrival. We know how important your time is, that is why we do our utmost to be punctual.

Maytag Dishwasher Error Codes

Error Code Definition Solution
E:15 The E-15 Error Code could indicate a small leak from the dishwasher. Inform the customer to turn the water off to the Dishwasher and schedule service.
E1 Your dishwasher could be siphoning. Make sure to connect the drain hose to the waste tee or disposer inlet above the drain trap in the house plumbing, and 20″ (50.8 cm) minimum above the floor.
E3 Cycle power to reset the control panel. To reset the dishwasher control panel, disconnect it from the power source for 30 seconds. If your dishwasher is plugged into an outlet, simply unplug the unit for 30 seconds and then plug the unit back in. If the dishwasher is hard-wired to the power supply, turn the breaker off at the home electrical panel that powers the dishwasher for 30 seconds and then turn the breaker back on.
F8E4 1. Is the water supply connected correctly? Check all the connection points. Ensure the rubber washer is properly seated in the fitting to the connection point. Contact us for assistance.
F8E4 2. Is the float switch connected? Ensure the float switch is properly connected. Also, ensure that the power supply wire or cord does not touch the dishwasher motor or the lower part of the dishwasher tub. Reconnect the float switch by aligning the connector with the connector housing and pushing in until the locking tab is visible over the back of the connector.
F8E4 3. If you see water in the drip tray, it needs to be emptied. To remove the drip pan assembly, press the snap at each side of the plastic tray in toward the center of the product and pull toward yourself. Be careful not to pull too far or too hard, as the float switch wire is still connected. Pulling too far or too hard can damage the wire.
E6 Reset the dishwasher control panel. Disconnect from power source for 30 seconds. If dishwasher is plugged in to an outlet, unplug the unit for 30 seconds and then plug the unit back in. If the dishwasher is hard-wired to the power supply, turn the breaker off on the electrical panel for 30 seconds and then turn the breaker back on.
